Andreth and Aegnor

Description

Story below. (Silmarillion / History of Middle Earth / Unfinished Tales)

My ideas for this:

Andreth was a mortal woman. Aegnor an immortal elf.

Finrod tells Andreth his brother would die in war, but never leave the House of Mandos, never go back to life, because they could not fulfill their love.

Andreth would have to go through Mandos, and then leave Arda.

You see, I spotted a chance for one last meeting... she's leaving, and he doesn't want to let her go.

In the background, the fire represents him, a brave warrior, and the wind represents her, a wise mortal.

they form an 8, a perfectly endless shape, the shape of infinity.

perhaps we can come up with a happier ending for these two? like that 8 in the background, their love is endless, infinite.
...

Andreth was deeply in love with the Elf-lord Aegnor. The love was returned but never fulfilled, since Aegnor felt his coming death, thus they both remained unwed and childless.

Athrabeth Finrod ah Andreth (S. "The Debate of Finrod and Andreth") was a discussion between two characters, Finrod Felagund, an Elven King, and Andreth, a mortal woman that took place during the Siege of Angband (though when originally written was placed much later) and deals with the metaphysical differences between Elves and Men and the imbalances between their fates. Towards the end it also brings in Andreth's love for Aegnor and his reasons for refusing to return it, explained tenderly by Finrod, his elder brother which is revealed as the prompting for the debate in the first place.
